How much does a site license cost?
Site licence costs are as follows:
£150 ex vat for 1 year (£176.25 inc vat)
£275 ex vat for 2 years (£323.12 inc vat)
£400 ex vat for 3 years (£470.00 inc vat)

What is a site licence?
In this instance the word ‘site’ refers the physical location on which this software may be licensed for use. If your geographic ‘site’ is split over two or more locations, please contact the Periscope Projects message line on 01273 473 276 to discuss your particular requirements and settings to establish how many site licences are required.

Can a site licence held by one school or organisation be shared with client/subsidiary organisations?
No school or organisation with a site license may pass on their login details to other client organisations or schools hence cascading one licence across multiple schools or organisations and physical locations. This is in strict contravention of the terms of use for this site.

How does the order process work?
Once you have completed the online order form and accepted the terms and conditions of use for this website, login details are sent immediately to the individual placing the order (the Primary Contact). In turn this person may then distribute the login details within their school or organisation and subject to the terms laid out in the terms and conditions of use for this website.

Will the interviews change, or grow, through time?
The function of this website is to help young people start making decisions about their futures, but not as a comprehensive inventory of every possible job. It is a taste of a wide range of jobs. The content will be refreshed through time and also will likely grow as more interviews are recorded. As such this resource is a useful snapshot of working life in the UK tailored to work for teachers, but not ultimate resource for all jobs.

Does TALKING JOBS have any sponsors?
Many individuals, companies and institutions across the country have helped find interviewees or let an interview take place on their premises, but the site itself has been independently financed to date.

How do you control the player?
Click once on the player screen to activate the controls. Use the mouse or arrow keys and space bar to explore the interviews. Use the scrollable menu beneath the video to jump to specific questions. Press the keyboard character 'A' to go to jobs starting with the 'letter A' and so on. Press the 'Return' key to see pictures of most of the interviewees when they were young. Click on the ‘i’ button above the video on the right to find out more about each job.

What screen resolution has the player been designed for?
The player has been designed for screen resolution of 1024 X 768.

What if I can’t see the whole player on my screen?
If the controls are obscured and a scroll bar appears screen right, close the player, press F11 to hide the browser controls and then re-launch the player.
